- 2005 Explorer (EB)
Hey,
My name's Lisa and I'm new to this forum. My husband's in Iraq and I'm stuck dealing with the 2005 Ford Explorer issues on my own.
Here's the deal: When I'm idling low (breaking, coming to a stop, coasting down a hill) the engine will stop showing me the battery and the oil pressure is a problem. I take out the key and restart the vehicle just fine.
I took it to the dealer and they replaced the alternator, but the vehicle did the same thing again. Obviously, they didn't diagnose the problem correctly. Do I have any case for getting my money back? Anyone know what the problem was? I took the car to the dealer vs. another shop because they should be the experts.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I drive my two small children in the car and I'd hate for the engine to cut out while on the freeway.
Thanks so much,
Lisa Sloane
