MY 92 XLT stalls.

Hello!!! Just wondering if any one could give some ideas on what could be causeing my 92 explorer to just die at at stop and some times going down the road the gas peddle just isn't there then comes back?? thinking maybe some thing simple , doesn't do it on short drives , but on long ones does it alot ,, always starts back up and goes. Any help on this would be very appreciated!! Thank you!!

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the stock 91-94 section. Clean the MAF sensor, intake, throttle body, IAC solenoid valve, replace the fuel filter, check the vacuum lines for leaks, and replace the spark plugs. Do you have a check engine light with codes? Do you hear the fuel pump when it stalls? If not, then you might have a bad fuel pump relay.

Have A Great Day!!!!and thank you for posting my note where it should be,, I don't really know how to do all this , but trying to learn!! I will pay better attention when it dies on me, usually I am busy trying to get out of peoples way, as they are not happy with the explorer not moving fast enough!! Thank You Again!!

sounds like the fuel pressure regualtor to me
