My 97 Aerostar slams into reverse.

Brooklyn The u joints are fine tranc. is a hair over full. This problem is in the tranc.
I dont think the filter has been changed. This one has the elec. overdrive lock out
on the shift. I dont think its the torqe converter as it dont have any problem in
forward

Replace the fluid & filter, and let us know if it feels any better. Check the torque of the valve body bolts with a 1/4" drive In/Lb torque wrench when the pan is removed.
