Slams Into Reverse

[Bottom Line]

2005 XLT V6 67,000 miles. When shifting from drive to reverse there is a slight hesitation then it slams into reverse gear. In looking at prior threads it seems like replacing the solenoid pack has cured the problem. before I spend the $$$ ffor the solenoid pack, just wondering whether anybody had this problem and it was something other than the solenoid and, if so, what was the fix? Thanks.

there is a additive ford added to my 04 under warrenty.

I was talikng to a guy at lunch today and he said the same thing about his 2004. He has since sold his and doesn't have any of his paperwork. Do you know what it was they put in? Part no. from service invoice?

Definitely solenoid pack, Ford has tsb for exact symptoms.
