My Explorer 2004 issue

I replaced brakes n rotors all around and less than 15k miles ago.... Washing it I saw my rear pads are almost done but front is good anyone know what's going on with it??

Welcome to the forum! My 96 Taurus used to eat brakes - didn't drive that often and the rotors would rust. For your Ex, had braking been even or were you stopping mainly on the rear brakes? Do the rear calipers stick ? Are the front ones slow to move? Is anything ****ed at an angle? As everything seems to be computerized now, don't know if there are still proportioning valves to check. My master cylinder has only one reservoir so nothing separate there between front/back or side/side. But if yours has 2 chambers, see if fluid level is the same.
 






slide pins greased? how is the piston seal? with a lack of pressure it wont return back to its normal point, but this one is unlikely...
 






The heat from stuck brakes will dry out the grease in the wheel bearings destroying them.

If the wheels are too hot to touch after driving you have stuck brakes. Replace the calipers and the wheel bearings.
 






There has to be something causing the rear calipers to stick. Pull the caliper off like you are trying to replace the pads and check function of piston and slide. Remove, clean and re grease the slide pins and retorque to spec. Check piston for leaks. clean and grease all the contact points for the pads. Drive around a bit, hit the brakes a bunch and see if one wheel is hotter than another.

All else fails, just replace the caliper reman calipers are cheap insurance.

Oh and are you using drilled and slotted rotors? They can chew up pads quicker.
