Welcome aboard :salute:

Nice work. It seems we have quite a few guys that like to mash up the front of their first gens... Great job fixing though.

What's the story behind it?

Wow

good job man

but was there frame damage?

I did the exact same thing to mine. except frame damage and less body damage. only one fender

This was caused by some jack ass stopping in the middle of the highway for no reason and this caused the jeep in front of me to lock it up and pitch it sideways giving me no where to got except for right into them. There was no frame damage on it which surprised me. The only crappy thing about it was the person that caused it left the scene and the person I hit didn’t have insurance so no one got any money out of it.

welcome to the forum

ouch..i had a similar issue with my ex...though my insurance ended up getting screwed over because of it, apperntly it was my fault that the guy 4 cars up slamming on his brakes to get coffee is my fault..... ill post pics of it shortly.

Ouch. Good Job on fixing it up. Just one more person to prove the durability of the first gens in front end collisions.

Looks like you got away with fairly minor damage though, I had to hit it dead center and replace some expensive parts.

Question: Did it still drive after that?

The parts I had to replace were the hood, the driver side fender, grill, headlight assembly, radiator core support, the radiator, trans cooler, radiator shroud, bumper, horns, and all the plastic parts up front. I found all that stuff on craigslist form some guy that was parting his out.

Yes I drove it a little ways down the road and waited for my father to bring a trailer. I didn’t want to mess anything up by driving it because I put a hole in my trans cooler so I lost some fluid, so then I thought I should play it safe and not drive plus I couldn’t turn right because my bumper was bent to the inside of my tire.
I just found some more pics of it up a little closer
