The people across the street from me have a '97 Moutaineer V8 2WD that they bought new roughly 6 or so years ago. Well, they never go anywhere and the only driving I see this truck do is into and out of the garage parking it to and from the curb infront of their house. Well I was talking with him today and asked him how many miles were on the truck. He said around 8,000. I was like OMG I have to see this. I opened the door and looked at the odo. It said 8,633 miles. He said one of his family members borrowed the truck once and took it to LA (about 5 hrs. away). He was shocked when I told him my X has 61,8xx miles. Can you believe the miles on this thing? It's incredible!!

I'd like that one!

He would pass out if he saw my milage. I have a 97 AWD with 115,300+.

96 XLT with over 140k

...and still going strong (knock on wood)

That's nothing! My '96 has about 2,500 original miles on the motor/tranny/suspension.. everything! :D

sad, cuz if they just move it from the garage to the street 90% of the time, the cats are proly clogged. constant short trips can be really hard on a few things, and 2 minutes of run time every time it is driven is no good at all.

there are alot of peol ou there that have low miles on there rides especialy older people. When I was working in a repair shop I did an oil change on an older gentlemans 92 ford explorer and it had 13,500 original miles on the tranny and engine. This truck looked brand new. I was amazed when I saw it.

I bought my 97 with 95k miles back in august.... I now have 108k miles on it!

YEAH TELL ME ABOUT IT! My dad's got three cars.
A 2001 F-250 V10 Limited
a 97? Supra 6 speed twin turbo
and a 2002 Jeep wrangler.

I think the Jeep is up to a whopping 8,000 miles, teh F-250 has like 6K and the Supra is like 18K.....

Here I am with 240,678 on my OD as of yesterday.........

My fiends gram gave him a car from 1988 and it had 29,000 miles on it..I couldn't beleive it.

Yikes, that's crazy. Why does he not drive it?

My 95 has 94,000 miles! :( Im afraid it's gonna crap out before the warrenty ends and I still have like two years to pay on it...

Speaking of miles...

I had a 94 with just over 263,000 on it before my accident. too bad it was still runnin as strong as ever. now i have my 5.0
