nice sport my bro in law had one just like that same color and model and color but his power steering went out. he doesnt have it anymore he sold it in 02.

Here's the Issues with the truck as it stands right now, hopefully ya'll will be able to point me in the right direction as this is my first explorer.

Problems:
Fuel Gauge is always E
Idle is Pretty high, around 1500, when it occasionally idles at a lower speed it rough and kinda lope-y, what do i need to clean?

It needs shocks, but how hard is it to change the bushings out on it?

on the agenda

Shocks
Wheel Balance/Alignment
New Plugs/Wires

Welcome to the forum, nice Sport. And even better that's it's a manual. The gas gauge always on E is probably a bad fuel signal sender. You have to drop the gas tank to fix it. There's threads on here to search for about it. The high idle could be a dirty MAF sensor, dirty IAC valve, vacuum leak ect.

whats a good thing to use to clean the MAF and stuffs? Carb Cleaner spray or something else?

Electrical contact cleaner that leaves no residue. I think there also may be Carb cleaner that doesn't leave any residue that's not much different?
