Hello Everyone. Just bought my first explorer. It's a 2000 sport with 55000 miles. Right now its bone stock, but I've got plans for clear corners, new tails, possibly a diff grill, and a stealth sub. Oh and I've had some Kappa 5x7's lying around for a couple years that are dieing to go in too.

I stumbled across this site while browsing around for explorers and I've gotta say that you are all awesome! I've got alot of info and great ideas already.

nice looking sport you got there nutty

mine is the same color as your sport but mine is an 01 sport

Fellow 2000 Sport owner !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man that thing looks spotless !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am jealous !!!!!!!! I wanted a sun roof in my Ex.

Lots to learn and share around here.
Dont be a stranger !!!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I was surprised I found something as clean as it is. Theres just a little rust on the step rails but I intend to take care of that this summer.

Oh, and I traded in a probe that had a sunroof, I wouldnt have been able to survive without one now, lol.

Welcome to the site, good looking X

Cool. That looks just like mine except a few minor differences. Mine has two more doors, no sunroof (I wish it did :( ), and different seats. Same colors though. My title says its "Arizona Beige".

Take a look at my website to see how similar they are.

Welcome from another '00 Sport owner. Lots of things you can do to it. Prepare to be addicted. Check my registry (link below) for examples of what I've done.

Cheers!

Brad (celly)

Celly is not kidding. Totally addictive. Some of us are copying his, aldive's, and Spindlecone's ideas on ours. :D

You weren't kiddin Brian, they look the same minus the doors. I can say I'm already addicted and thanks for the heads up, lots of great ideas on theirs!

best part is, there is not a lot of buy & bolt stuff out there.
That means use your imagination and get creative.

You MUCH more veriety and origonality with these Explorers than you would, say, an S-10

here is mine btw,

MonMix: I have seen your X a lot too (nice). There are so many good looking Xs around here we can all get great ideas for ours. I noticed in your signature it says fender repeater lights. What is that?

See that little light on his fender? He cannibalized it from a Jetta or something. Looks sweet.

Oh, I see. I didn't know that was a light. Thats pretty cool. I assume its wired into the turn signal like the subarus are? I would be terrified to cut into my fender to do that. :D

Monmix works in a body shop. Stuff like that is a piece o' cake to him. ;)

Ahhh...that explains it. I have done some body work and painted a few, but nothing "custom", just wrecks repairs. Thats a very cool idea though.

Man I was scared sh!tless when I touched that cut off wheel to that perfectly good fender. Took me a good ten mineuts to work up the courrage :)

Yeah Brian, just wired into the turn signals.

Thanks for the kind words people.

I bet. I would be terrified to cut into a good fender. I know a lot about steel fabrication, but I don't know much of anything about sheet metal. Thats one of those cool projects someone else did. Maybe when I smash a fender someday. (hope not) :)
