my system with pictures
Here goes:
Head Unit:
Pioneer DEH-4000, $200
Amplifiers:
US Acoustics USX4065, $120
US Acoustics USX800D, $220
Speakers:
4 Pioneer 6x8 (can't remember the model number), $60/pair
Subwoofers:
2 Pioneer 12" TS-W304DVC
Box: 3/4" MDF, glued and sealed with a couple tubes of Liquid Nails, screws every 3 inches. Divided into two chambers, each 1.5 cuft. Sanded with 200grit, 3 coats of polyurethane. Very smooth. Isolated from amp rack with towel, for now.
Audio/Video:

100w Inverter
Other:
4ga wiring, 2 12V industrial gel cell 15aH batteries, and 2 fans w/ blue LEDs.
Setup and wiring:
4 shielded RCAs run down driver's side into 4 channel amp. Onboard crossover sends everything below 200hz to subs. 4 gauge run down passenger side into industrial distribution blocks. 8ga runs to each amp, and batteries, from distribution blocks. 12 ga to subwoofers, 14 ga to speakers. Amps and batteries mounted in a drawer under sub box. Digital voltmeter between front seats with switch for monitoring battery under hood, or batteries on amp rack.
