my truck runs great thread,,

95 EB and 99 EB...both run flawlessly. Knock on wood.

And if they break down now because I mentioned this in this thread, I am going to be seriously pissed off!!! :D

Still going!

106,x.. miles and still runs like a champ! Tax returns are coming soon and I hope to squeeze more ponies from the V6.

I have 119 k miles. I bought it in 1999 with 33K miles. Other than oil and ATF changes I have replaced:

2 sets of tires
2 sets of brakes
Edit: 1 set of shocks
1 IAC
2 door lock solenoids
1 seat recline lever (the replacement was redesigned, much better)
1 hood release cable
2 batteries
1 o-ring for the TC speed sensor

I also preemptively replaced the valve body gaskets and installed the new design EPC solenoid from Borg Warner.

I also had to replace the front bumper as the result of a woman who didn't know that you should keep going when you leave a stop and there is no other traffic in sight.

Runs great, still looks good for a 12 year old vehicle.

nearly 140k on the clock and drives like new... after rebuilding front end, new tires, new hubs, new shocks, major tuneup (including IAC, Battery, Tstat) in the last 12 months

'99 Sport w/ SHOC, 143K miles, Death Rattle (TM) on startup, still going strong.

Yes, I drive it like I stole it :)

99 Explorer XL, still going great after 10 years & 141111 miles on. ;)

Some minor issues, but all brought on by heavy use.

Just bought a 1996 xlt 2wd 5.0l 4 door with 92,000 miles.All power with leather seats.Paid $2400.Engine runs like a champ.:salute::us:

my '97, with >170k miles runs great! Other than the camshaft(crankshaft?) synchronizer squeaking (got the parts to replace, just no garage and too cold).
and my wonderful 12.5mpg!

1994 with 185,000 and still going strong!

i guess that makes me the Op, , my idea of great , is a truck you don't have to work on all the time, , and gets you all over,,

for instance, mine runs great , no loose ends, no CEL, heater works, radio works , 4 wheel drive works, 22 mpg hwy ,

Mine runs great as well. Has the death rattle if I push it too hard and when it's cold, but the truck will not die. It burns absolutely no oil and runs like new. If the timing chain doesn't go it's got another 100,000 - 200,000 in her easily!

My 98 Explorer XLT 5.0 AWD runs GREAT!!!! I did have to do some work to it because it was abused before I owned it, but nothing a few $$ and elbow grease didn't fix. I paid $1,200 for it + $13 for a new air filter and I am happy as a pig in pooh!
