So my X smokes a little bit after driving for any good distance. The smoke comes from the back of the engine towards the bottom. It's a slightly gray smoke, I'm fairly certain its not oil, tranny fluid, or brake fluid.(all levels seem to be normal, if not above normal.) The explorer seems to be running okay and it's been smoking for about a month now.

I know this is a fairly vague question, just hoping somebody's had this before and knows what it is immediately.

Each of the things you list and anti freeze as well, will have a very distinct odor when burned. If you don't know the diff, put a drop of each on the exhaust manifold when it's really hot.
