Name that leak.

When I accelorate my truck sounds like crap. I hear a sound that kina resembles a diesel engine. Could that just be the exhaust leak that the v8's are known for? Could I have a vaccum leak somewhere? The noise is not really loud, but it's there and it sounds like it is coming from the passenger side of the engine. Any thoughts?

Definately an exhaust leak, the v-8's are notorious for this, being the owner or a 4.0 i wouldnt know where the leaks is, but my bet would be at the manifold to the head or manifold to exhaust pipe.

I think it leaks at the headers on V8s because it's hard to create a good seal.

yeah they had a bad gasket problem i beleive. Where is james t when you need him?
