Lately I've been buying my oil filters from NAPA and usually they give me the NAPA Gold filter. When I got out there this morning I realized the one I received this time is a different color and is a NAPA ProSelect. What's the difference?

Also, I bought the oil from NAPA this time instead of fighting the crowd to get to Wal-Mart and buying the Motorcraft Synthetic Blend, like I did at the time before last. It's conventional 5W-30 oil, but I noticed it's a lot lighter in color than Pennzoil and other conventional oils I've used. Anyone know why? :dunno:

From what I can find they are pretty similar. The only diffences that I could find was price and the fact that the Gold uses a silicone ADBV and the ProSelect uses a nitrile ADBV. Both appear to be made by Wix.
