Navigation map update

Has anyone updated the navigation maps? I thought that they would automatically be updated, just like our phones. But, this past weekend, we had to use our phone, because the navigation on the Explorer did not recognize the address. I see where Ford has a free onetime update that is available to download & install. Looking to do this on our 2022 Explorer.

I did every single one on our old 2014 GT500, it did add more addresses so could be helpful in your case. If it’s free why not.

I gave up on using the Ford map, it's a dinosaur. I use android auto with Google maps. So much easier and Google updates the map often. One of the best things is can can get hands free directions while driving. Many times I have change the rout doing this. I'm sure that Apple works the same way.

I agree. I will do the free update and see how it does, but wont pay for any further updates.

The only downside is you do not get a full screen. But I have got used to it and like it a lot better. Good luck on the update. If you have any questions ask away.
