Due in for some maintainance stuff over the summer.

How are you guys going through thermostats and water pumps so soon? I see all these people with problems, and I can't figure it out. It makes me worried since my entire engine system including all the sensors are all factory original. Must be because it's a Texas truck.

Ford is known for their crappy thermostats! Even my dealer told me to stay away from Motorcraft thermostats. I bought the truck new, with 8 miles on the clock, and with in a year, the thermostat went out, it actually stuck wide open, no heat in the winter. I bought a NAPA one and had the dealer install it, (yes he actually did that), and two years later, still going strong!

4 years and 126K miles going strong on my original Motorcraft thermostat.

Your one of RARE ones then, unless they ran out of Motorcraft ones at the factory, and threw in an aftrer market one.

did do a coolant flush and fill this winter though
