Ok here I am in Arizona my hubby/mechanic is in Indiana. I was driving home the other night and the o/d light starting flashing i noticed no change in the operation of my truck(98 4x4 sport). Came home took the obdII scanner cleared the light. drove around...seems to shift fine all gears are there. When idleing in Drive or reverse(when its quiet enough to hear) there is a strange noise coming from the tranny its somewhere between the same sound your heat shield rattle makes and air in high pressure lines. i had no choice but to drive to work the next day..it drove fine light remains blinking and noise continues it has now sit till next week because if something is wrong I dont want to totally blow it. Tranny fluid is clean, red and no foam. Any ideas has anyone every had this? We thought a sensor but the noise makes me think otherwise...torque converter..torque conv. pump??? I will take any suggestions.
thanks

howmany miles are on the tranny also try getting it completly flushed

milage

125,000, the noises it is making is why we think it might be more than something small...

it is not unusal for your transmission to be going but i still reccomend getting it completly flushed then go from there
