need advise on duel exhause

i have a 93 explorer with the 4.0 v-6 engine. i currently have single exhause with a gutted cat. if i where to put duel exhaust without cats ,would i see any difference in performance . also if it would benefit me i dont want to put loud exhaust . i would put stock or something mellow. i would like some advise on a type of inexpesive muffler to use .

please do a search on this topic. It's been discussed ad nauseum before. In summary, my recommendation is the get a cat and a magnaflow muffler with 2.25 or 2.5" piping. Please do a search.

1st gen.... youll have to remove your spare tire.... and i would not do anymore than 2 1/4" cause it gets to close to the shocks.....i have duals on my 93 4 door....
