anyone know how much a 17' bayliner fiberglass boat, 150 hp outboatd motor, on a trailer would weigh?
i wanna tow it with the X, but i just wanna make sure it can handle the weight.

I towed my 2001 17' Four Winns with a 190hp inboard / towing weight about 3,000 lbs. with my 4.0 SOHC 2003 Explorer, and my 2001 2WD and 2002 4WD Explorer Sports with the SOHC as well, without problems. But, they were a bit higher in HP than your '93.

You got a ranger right? It should be no problem.

If you got an explorer, 3000lbs.....pfft that's nothin.....

I've seen cars towing cars before, and i've personally used a mustang to pull an f-150 off of a frozen lake, and i didn't even feel it behind me, so i doubt you have anything to worry about, lol.

just got back from the lake.
the X did fine, i used 4 low comin up the load ramp and it was fine.
drove it 60 miles to the lake and i couldnt even tell that it was behind me.

Just take it slow and easy when towing. Double folllowing distances. Be careful and don't push your limits. Mine is kinda squirrely right now with a 16' boat behind it. Having some steering, alignment issues I think. Towed good last week. 60-65mph is comfy for me on the interstate when the steering isn't messed up.
