just cut the hole! Once its there you can cover it up and forget about it until its needed.
For me it is all about how long are you going to keep it? If the answer is "forever" then cut the access. I mean what are you hurting? Resale value? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh man re sale value on a gen II sploder...thats a good laugh.
The access on the 2/4 door explorer is not pretty nor is it in an ideal spot, but it is still possible! With a Ranger we can just lift the bed, but many of my customers have camper setups, camper shells, that make lifting the bed more complex. So we still consider an access panel. With my BII the access panel it right in the cargo bay, nice flat spot. The explorer sucks because its right under the seat, etc but who cares? Cut the metal, make a cover piece, paint all exposed edges, glue it down with silicon. Forget a dual pump setup....just make access to the pump you have!
