I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE MY SWAY BAR A QUICK DISCONNECT W/ THE HITCH PINS?? WHAT LINK HOLE DO YOU PUT IT IN? AND DO YOU JUST LET IT HANG?? I KNOW GUYS ARE GOOD AT THESE KIND OF QUESTIONS SO I NEED IT EXPLANED TO ME THANKS

There used to be a thread about making the disconnects I guess it was lost in the old modifications file that was lost.

Here is how I did mine on my Navajo which already had poly sway bar bushings.

I got two 1/2" hitch pins with clips, 2- 1/2" flat washers.

I removed the bolt from the lower front swaybar mount.

Put the hitch pin in place of the bolt, and added the washer outside the bracket.

Made a mark next to the washer and drilled a new hole for the clip. Tested the clip.

I cut the pin about 3/4" inch away from the new clip hole and then chamfered the pin on a grinder to make it easier to install.

Lightly greased the pin and installed it.

When I disconnect the pins I use a bungee on one side of the bar to keep it from moving while on the trail.

I spent about an hour from removal to test drive. Some of which was chasing down tools my three year old son borrowed!

Have fun
