I am going to install new shocks (RS5000), and a spacer/shackle lift Sunday. I have a couple questions:

1. What is the best thing to use to loosen old bolts, nuts, etc? WD-40?

2. On my new shocks....the new ones go on the same way the old ones came off? and the stock shocks will work for awhile with the spacer/shackle lift? (I have RS5000 shocks to go on but my time is limited and it maybe a week later before I can put them on)

3. Do I need to use something like lock-tite when I put the bolts and nuts back on?

Thanks.:D

WD-40 would help I guess, or try PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench. Spray some on the bolts the day before, and the day before that!

If you bought the right shocks, yes, they will go on the same way the old ones came off.

If you can't get everything done at once, the old shocks should be fine, with the minimal lift you're going for, to drive on until you get to installing the new shocks.

No Loctite needed, just tighten until the shock bushings bulge somewhat.

Good luck!
