My Explorer started to work strangly in driving. When i was driving a felt the power of the car. Now it like has no power, i press down the accelerator and the car doesn't react, it is accelerating slowly. Like ther no right combustion.
What can it be?
Sorry my bad english.
I live in Angola Central Africa and here the mechanics aren't very trusty. So thats i asking you.

...Do you have a check engine light on and do you smell something like bad eggs from the exhaust?

The engine light only goes on when i turn on the car, then turn off. Smell i don't have notice.
I will today buy oil filter, air filter, gasoline filter. To see if it resolve the problem.
Here in Angola the rates os dust is very high.
If it not result, i will post again.

...I don't know if you have Catalytic Converters over there but it sounds like yours went bad...:dunno:

How can i see if the Catalytic Converters are bad.

When they go bad they clog up, so the exhaust cannot get through it. That should cause a check engine light though. Bang on it from underneath and see if you hear pieces of debris bouncing around. You could also disconnect it on the side toward the engine and see if it runs better.

I fortunately found a mechanic , that Portuguese. And he worked at the Ford reseller here in Luanda. I saw my car and say first of all we will change all filter and sparks,
next Monday.
