need help picking a lift kit!!

I've got a 1998 4-door xlt and i'm lookin for a good lift kit, but I'm kinda new to all this so I have no idea where to start. Does anybody have an idea of what to look into or sites that sell these things? Thanks a bunch!

You are limited to your lift options. Here are a few examples of what to do. If you have any questions about these do a search on them.

Superlift 4" suspension lift
trailmaster 4" suspension lift
PA 2, 3" body lift
Warrior shackles, add a leaf, and Tortion Twist for 2" of lift

What size tires you want to run and what's your budget? 2wd or 4x4?

I'm thinking around $500 tops...but again I don't even know if that's a reasonable price tag. Right now I'm looking at a set of BF Goodrich mud-terrains for her, and she runs on 4x4.

$60 + alignment for a torsion twist/shackle lift to clear 31x10.50s, add a 2" body lift for 32x11.50s or 3" body lift for 33x12.50s.
