i have a 93 explorer XLT 4X4. ok guys i dont really know what im doing this is the first time anything like this has happend to me. i was driving through a large puddle that was deeper than i expected, it droped off the water was up to my headlights and the interior filled with water up to the bottom of the seats. when i drove in it stalled as soon as it got deep. i had to wait an hour to an hour and a half to get a pull. when i got it out it was filled up. its still out there what should i do before i start it. and i mean everything i need to get this fixed as it is my only form of transportaion. any help or advise would be appreciated greatly.

thanks

first change all the fluids eng, tranny, axles then pull all the spark plugs and crank the engine over a few times to get all the water out then cross your fingers and hope for the best

oh make sure the air box dosent have water in it

Might want to pull all the interior carpet out to dry to make sure mold doesn't grow anywhere. you might have some electrical gremlins after awhile too from it.

Booom.....LOL do this for sure. Your carpet will smell so bad you cant sit in your explorer. Been there done that.

Drain all fluids and replace. Replace the air filter. Its gonna be soaked and will be all sorts of messed up. Then just watch things. Check your oil regulary to make sure there is no water left over.
