The plastic cam from front 4wd assy broke a tooth. Is it OK to just remove the cams (both driver & psgr side) and the other stuff outside the wheel bearing nut and put the hub outer cover back on to keep it clean?

(by other stuff - I mean the splined washer - there weren't any other thrust washers)

Just got this X about a month ago and still getting used to it. While trying to find cause for front wobblies, I'm surprised it kept on the road at all...

Tks

yea you can get the hubs and run the covers only just won't have any 4x4 that's all

...These threads are worth reading since you just got the 4x4 X and they should help educate you on the front end...;)

...This link should help for the hub and spindle nut info...

...This thread will probably answer the "Wobbly" questions...

...and this link will let you see some parts for the front end...

Thanks guys - it's good to know, I've put them back together without the cams and was beginning to worry about my AM commute.

Those links are great!
