Hi,

I was looking online trying to find information to help my husband. We have a 93 Ford Explorer. It was having trouble. We had it looked at the guy thought it was a burnt valve. My husband tore it down cleaned the valves, replaced the gaskets. He put it back together, and fuel was spraying out the injectors. He then replaced the seals. It's not spraying fuel now, but is still having problems. When pressing the peddle to accelerate, it's not wanting to go. Any suggestions what he might could check next? We don't have the money to take it anywhere, he is having to do it himself. Any help anyone???????

Could be the throttle position sensor, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, fuel filter ect, ect ect...
Could you give some more information on if it starts with any difficulty, idles okay, what has been checked so far?

Welcome to the forum! Good luck with your truck. We should get it figured out for you as soon as we get some more information on it.

Does the engine stutter as it tries to go? If so, it sounds like a misfire.

I am doing this post for my husband. He doesn't like messing with computers. This evening I will get specifics on what all he has tried and what the truck is doing. Thank you for your help and I will repost this evening.
