....and yes, i used the search feature, found a whole bunch of stuff on the shift motor, but thats not my issue.
I have a 99 Exp Sport 4.0 SOHC, Auto $WD (BW4405). I was experiencing the notorious issues with the HI/Low blink...I started rebuilding the shift motor, when i found out i could get a new shift motor for $88 locally, so i installed it. I had to remove 7 pins from the connector of the original and slip in the new connector for what appears to be a sensor of some sort, and something else that is located inside the TC. After installing the motor it was shifting into HI/LOW perfectly...I could hear and feel it engage. My issue is, after a day of driving it, it started to blink again...I have confirmed it is shifting into HI/LOW Fine. It seems to NOT be shifting into 2wd though????which is puzzling? the only other thing i can think about, is a possible selector or something on the front diff thats not disengaging? The truck feels like its in 4HI all the time, when i turn the wheels on dry ground i feel it binding. PLEASE HELP!!! culd it be the sensor on the TC? This 4WD stuff is still fairly new to me and its a work in progress, so please be gentle =)
