NEED Help with Radio 2008 Ranger

Just bought a 2008 ranger that has only AM / FM and I want a CD player. Are the earlier model radios compatable. I am assuming they are Ford hasnt changed much in a while. Mine looks like it will just pop out by inserting a tool in the two notches on the right and left side of the radio. any help on compatability will be appreciated.

the only issue i forsee with this swap is the fit/style of the radio physically fitting in your new dash.

as far as the electronics, the wiring harness would be the same for all the radios.

if you goto your local parts store they will sell the FORD radio removal tool. essentially all it is is 2 "U" shaped pieces of wire with prongs on the ends that you push into the corresponding holes in your radio face.
