Need Help

I have a 98 ford explorer and i was driving down I-57 south and i started to smell a burning sent and them white smoke stared coming from the hood and out the tailpipe i pulled over to the side of the road and looked under my car a saw oil leaking off my catalytic converter on to the ground. What does this mean. Any help would be great

Welcome to this forum! Was the oil transmission fluid? If so, then the front seal blew out. Did you check your coolant level to see if it's low?
