Need ideas cant get tranny in

Hey I need some idea on how to get my tranny I need tomove it 1/2 inch forward but not matter what I do it just wont slide forward I need some tips of advice asap

I think I figured out the 5r55e swap so the tranny is 5r55e but the bell housing is the one that came off the 4R that was in my explorer

When I helped my friend install an auto in his 1st gen, one of us had to lay on our back on the ground under the rear axle and kick/push hard with their feet/legs on the back of the transmission while the other layed under the engine ligning up the bellhousing and turning the torque converter until the pegs went into the flywheel. Took us a few hours.

If you get the bellhousing bolts threaded into the engine and the transmission still won't go in all the way DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BOLTS to try and bring it together, that is a nono.

Word of caution
Make sure the torque converter is fully seated and as above don't pull together with the bolts (ask me how i know LOL)
If the TC is fully seated then at the tranfer case end a bit of wiggling as you push towards the engine. The splines will wedge unless at the correct angle

I figured out what is was with some luck it was the small shaft that goes into the tc it wasnt fully inserted all the way I has to take the bell housing off and dive into the front of the tranny(good learning experience for me) its in now. So I guess tomarrow I will see If the 4R55E to the 5R55E swap works.
