I've had a 2003 Explorer SPORT TRAC for a while: XLT Limited with V6/AWD.
But I wanted a heavier Toy Hauler trailer and needed to move up to a V8.
So I bought a 2007 Mercury Mountaineer Premier 2WD with the 4.6 and its fantastic!

Or, will be, if I ever get it safetied. Who knows about REPLACING ROCKER PANELS? Especially GLUING THEM ON?
Also need to revive DRL (I see a thread on that), fix the fog lights, maybe an inner-tie-rod end?
And the backend gets the jiggles over bumps. I suspect a bad shock.
The vehicle passed a Minnesota safety just 1 year ago, so I wasn't expecting so much grief.
But it is supremely comfortable to travel in, the sound system is great, and the mileage (when running empty) is no worse my V6 Sport Trac.

Nice setup. Enjoy.:chug:

Welcome. Nice ride. Our current 99 Sport I replaced the rocker panels with new metal.

Yeah, I found "the guy" in Selkirk MB, but he's booked up for weeks!
Will search Winnipeg for someone who can do it sooner.

welcome!
