Title says it all, after a measly 10k miles on my rebuilt M5od, the 5th gear has decided to develop one hell of a knock. So much for the standard being more reliable than the a4ld.
After listening to some shops, I have come to the conclusion that I will self install the next one, as the prices to fix this one are more than just buying the new one.
So now I am looking and am a little cornfruzed as to what trans will fit.
Mine is a '92 Sport 4x4, so I need the m5od, but why am I seeing that the
m5r1 is listed to fit. Also what about a m5r2?
Also, why is the clutch for a 91-92 different from a 93-94?. I plan to get a centerforce, but everywhere I look I see a difference.
Thanks for any help!
