I was going to purchase some Edelbrock Shocks, but I also wanted to get F150 Coil Spacers and Warrior Shackles. I wanted to know if I got the spacers and shackles would I have to get bigger shocks?

Thanks Derek

Get the Explorer Pro Comp ES3000's and those will work perfect. You can get them at any 4Wheel parts store and the are reasonable price wise.

Personally I wouldn't run Edelbrocks with shackles and spacers in a 1st generation Explorer. It will make your truck ride like a logwagon, shaking the hell out of you. But the Edelbrocks will control body roll and cornering pretty well. If you're going to spend the $70/shock that Edelbrocks cost, you might look into Bilsteins or Rancho RS9000's instead of the stiff Edelbrocks. With Rancho's you can run up to 1 1/2" or 2" lift before you have to go with a longer shock. It varies by brand though.

Can I run the Pro Comp ES9000's instead of the ES3000? WOuld that be best or would the 3000 be better for the spaver/shackle lift?

Both the ES3000 and ES9000's are good shocks and would recommend either one.

I know the Pro Comp's are supposed to be good shocks. I don't have any experience with them or know anyone who has though. I don't know about the differences between ES3000's and ES9000s, maybe they have a web site with this information...
