Need Rear Hatch Help, please

Im brand new here and really need some assistance.

Im in serious need of a new rear hatch on my 97 Explorer Sport, and I need to know if a hatch from a regular Explorer will fit. One body shop told me no - that they have different specs. Is this true?

Also, what year models hatches will fit my 97 sport?

The hatch should be interchangeable with the 4 door of the same year.

Yup, any 95-97 Sport or 4 Door hatch will work.
