i have a 1995 ford explorer with a TK body style, class M, brand A. It starts but when you hit the gas it jerks really really bad like it doesn't want to go. one person said it was a crank sensor & another said it was a throttle sensor. also there is a psi thing inside, should i remove it?

Most likely a sticky franastan, or vertametricfurbulator. Bring it to Autozone and ask them to test those parts for you...

dude! come on! LOL

the pressure gauge under the hood is for the regulator that let's the injectors get just enough gas pressure to work.

psi thing

I suspect that the psi thing you're asking about is the schrader valve that allows you to determine if there is fuel pressure. It looks like a tire valve stem and when you depress the valve core fuel will shoot out. It allows a pressure gauge to be connected to measure the fuel pressure.

There is also a fuel pressure regulator that controls the fuel pressure based on engine vacuum.

The earlier suggestion to take the vehicle to your local auto parts store to have the trouble codes read for free is a good one. Write down the codes and post them here on the forum so we can help you. Don't buy things suggested by the auto parts store personnel until after you post the codes and get feedback from the forum.

Mechanic Around?

Sometimes a good one is needed, even when a good forum is available.......imp
