Hey guys,
my 1998 sohc 130k finally gave up on going into reverse.
got into the truck, put it into reverse, let off brake, pressed gas and a loud grind, maybe even a clunk and the reverse is no more.
the odd thing is that all forward gears are fine, no problems driving forward.
this tranny had its fluid changed ever 30k and had no real signs of problems before this.
My questions:
1. what has happened?
2. will I need a rebuild or new tranny?
3. what does the 5r55e cost new and rebuilt?
4. who whould i get it from?
