Need some help deciding

I am looking at a 98 Mountaineer AWD with 106k and a 2000 Explorer 4X4 with 120k. They are pretty much the same price.

I don't do any hardcore offroading.

They are both 5.0. The Mounty has a leaking sunroof, but the seal is dryrotted. The Explorer is 70 miles away, so I am just looking at pictures of it. It is leather, and has a sunroof and supposedly it doesn't leak.

What are your opinions? Newer with more miles or older with fewer miles....assuming I don't find any MAJOR mechanical malfunctions on either.

I'd want to know the owner and service history on them. Get a carfax on them and avoid leased, auctioned, and wrecked vehicles. SInce one is AWD and the other is 4wd that's a decision point. I personally prefer 4wd over AWD, but there have been many discussions between the 2.
