Need some info from u guys

Ok I'm new to the forum and I think that its a very good forum, so let me just start off by saying hello to everyone. I just sold my 05 edge ranger and got a 92 X 4x4, mainly to save on money because I have a 3 month old little girl and the explorer isnt in to bad of shape for 1st gen, I have changed the air filter,plugs & wires, oil, cleanded the mass air, & the iac to get it to idle better. But I have only one little prob, I noticed that there are two wires that must have been chewed up by mice or something on a plug-in right behind the coolant overflow and the washer fluid tank. Now there are tow plug-ins side by side right there and this one is the one closest to the coolant tank. I have searched every where and I cant find out what it is? so any info would be great

are there connectors hanging loose? or chewed up wire ends just sticking out? the EEC-IV diagnostic ports are in the same area. there are 2 connectors, one has a single wire with a clip, the other has several wires and the connector is a triangular shape. is this what youre looking at? make sure these are there while youre searching. i have seen trucks come in to work that had the diagnostic ports ripped or cut off.

No there isnt any connectors loose they are both connected but they do have alot of wires , like five or so but two of the wires are chewed in half and these plug-ins are attached right above the driver side wheel, sorry for not haveing any pics but I'm posting this from work so I cant give ya any pics right now

yeah everything seems to be fine, just bugs me to not know what that is, I guess I'm thinkin about it to much, I'll try to post some pics when I get time thanks for some feed back fourosport
