Need transfer case help

I need some help trying to figure out why my 4x4 does not engage

I have the electronic transfer case with Warn manual hubs.
Went to move my boat today so i locked the hubs and went to push the 4x4 button and nothing happens (it would not go into 4x4 mode)

I checked all the fuses----ok
Took switch out of the dash and checked for power going to it (it has a 8 wire plug going to it and only 3 of the wires on 1 side of the plug have power, The black wire on the power side has no power to it----is that normal ?
Checked to see what was going on at the 4x4 computer and the red led comes on and clicks when you push the 4x4 button------is that normal ?
I also pressed the white reset button by the led and it still does not work.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Clean your shift motor contacts. If you search this forum for your problem you'll find it is very, very, very common in 1st gen Explorers. You'll also find a link to a site that has tons of tcase fixes for all sorts of symptoms.
