taking a piss is fine...you may have to it is normally unavoidable....just make sure your gloves are worn and that you take them off and wash your hand is nature calls.....HOOTUS

lol

hootus hootus hootus hootus

i just joined this site recently but I read that WHOLE post.

Do they come in a spray can or do you wipe it on with a brush/roller?

ive heard that the do-it-yourself ones are not that strong as bed liners so i would imagine that they would not do well as a rocker protector. my neighbor got the bed of his truck done with some kind of spray on kind but i forgot what it was. looks super nice and it bonds to the metal. i believe they had the bed sand blasted before it was put on.

Go to a 4wheelparts. I bought the small jug for around $20(pain in the butt to open though) and then went to Home Depot and got the tape and brush. Tape everything off VERY WELL, and take your time. I went right up to the cracks on door as well as above the cracks. Just tape off the door opening and take your time in the area. Check it every so often that nothing has gotten in the area. I also would suggest that you get the little plugs if you removed the tupperware. Cleans it up a ton. This is something I forgot to do and I still have small holes in the rockers. OOPS.

Thanks leebo and others, I looked for it on their website, and didnt seem to find any. Did I miss it somewhere? The closest 4 wheel parts is about 400miles away.

I don't think it's listed. Try giving them a call. I'm sure they can ship it out to you. I've also heard of it being sold at stores such as home depot and such, but I've never seen it there.

ok thanks, will one bucket be enough for my 4 door?

they sell them in two sizes. one is a large gallon size with a brush and a few other items for around 100 and one which is a quart size for around 25. I got the quart size which was enough to coat the rockers and the bumpers twice and I think I tossed a bit out too. I do have a sport, but I doubt you'll have a problem with a 4door. Check out their site for even more info as well as a feature to find a store near you

Ok thanks leebo, so how high did you go on your rockers when you did it?

I take back what I said in my post before. I only went up to the cracks in the door. After I looked today I didn't go as high as I though.

BoatsRcool, KMart also has them, but only in the gallon kits. Herculiner also has a website if you feel like searching for it with more information. Then you coulc cal them and find out local distributors.

I Herculined (two coats) my rocker panels up to the mid-door strip, my brushguard, both taillight guards, and used a little less than half a gallon.

Fordcrazy, Herculiner is extremely tough and will protect anything you coat it in very well. It should not be confused with DupliColor and other cheapo brush on liners that are really nothing more than thick paint.

Anybody heard of LineX? It's a company that coats truck beds in my town. I was wondering if LineX is also a product or just his name. He said they can mix up any color but white will turn a brownish. I was thinking of doing a light gray to match my trim along the rockers and on the lip of a well instead of flares and it won't hurt to have it there if I ever flared it. I have some surface rust and paint chipping along the bottoms of the doors and in the rear wells. A body shop told me $800 for repainting and fixing this up. LineX will coat the rockers, and sand off the rust for $275. They run a lot of promos so I'll wait for a coupon. But I want any opinions you guys might have.

I have, they also make it in nean colors. So do you roll on herculiner or what?

Yes Dupli-color sux! I used it for my rocker panels , and its just thick paint, somehow it ended up fading white, maybe from something I cleaned it with..I gotta go with the hurculiner now cuz it looks terrible.
DUPLI-COLOR :shoot:
