I have had 4 neon tubes in my Ex for almost 8 months and i wired them kinda half assed and the only worked part of the time cause wires would come loose or what have you. Now after reading all your posts and searching around I have wired them correctly with a switch i just installed today in my dash. Problem is i need a way to run power to them (preferably not straight off the battery). I have heard many of you say to splice it into the cig lighter, but I can't find the wire under the dash cause i cannot find a single wire that is the same color. Also since it is a 1st gen I only have the one cig lighter in th front of the dash. Where is the best place to find and splice into this wire, or is there a better way to get power? Please help cause i got my Ex. all torn apart in my garage and I need to leave in about an hour!

I'd tap off the downstream side of one of your interior fuses. One that has a high capacity, is ignition controlled, but isn't on very often. Example: the wipers.

i would still tap from the battery. it is however very easy to tap from the cig lighter, simply remove the ash tray assembly, when you flip it, behind the sig lighter, tere is a plug going into the center and a paddle on the rim. i think the paddle is ground.

Ok, thanks for the help everyone. I got 2 switches going now, one running one red tube and one running 3 blue tubes. Thanks for all your help!
