I am interested in towing an Explorer behind a Motorhome, and do not want to get involved with tow dollies or drive shaft removal. Remco Mfg.(makers of the Blue Ox tow bars) tell me that a neutral tow chip can be purchased from Ford for around $50.00US and installed in the computer module.They also tell me that very few parts counter employees will know what I'm talking about when I ask for this part. Since I diffinately don't know what I'm talking about here, can someone help!! I'm told that a chip was produced and will fit models from January '96 thru '99.
