New $500 incentive...

So there's now an extra $500 Ford incentive good until 9/3. I place my order on Tues with an 8 wk build time. I don't qualify for that new offer, do I? Thanks! I don't want to call my sales guy again, I've bugged him enough already this week!

Is that a regional incentive or anywhere? I'm interested because I'll get mine next week and if it's good where I live and I can get $500 off my X in addition to my other incentives I will be extremely happy! To answer your question, I was told by my dealer that if any other incentives become available between order time and when I receive my X, I will get those incentives but only if they are valid on the date when my X comes in. So I'm guessing you won't be eligible, but there may be a new one by then too!

I don't know if it's anywhere of just New England. I went to Ford's site and plugged in my zip code and the vehicle I was interested in. It came up at way under incentives. I did know that I'm locked into the $1000 when it comes in and anything new at the time of delivery. I'm hoping it comes early. The dealer had a vehicle come 4 wks early this week. So crossing my fingers. Good luck with yours!

I don't know if that is true. They might offer it to close a deal, but that would not be a Ford policy.

As WiEx posted as well as Cory confirming and many members getting locked in, Ford does have an incentive protection program.

If you do a search, it has been spoken about for quite some time in the past with the 2011s and 2012s

Like it was already mentioned a few times (thanks everyone!), you can check with your dealer to see if they offer the Incentive Protection Program. This will protect the incentives available to you at the time you placed the order. If better incentives become available when your Explorer arrives, you have the option to take the new incentive amount.
