Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. Been lurking in the forums here for the past two weeks since I bought the ex. I picked mine up with almost no rust, 235k on the clock, SOHC, in really good shape for $500.

Its not without issues though. It originally had the ABS light on which Ive fixed with the new diff sensor. It also has the O/D light blinking at fairly random times. Sometimes its within 6 miles or so and sometimes I can drive 20 and it will turn on when I go to put it in park. I scanned the codes when I bought it and it said 2nd gear ratio incorrect and 3rd gear raito incorrect. I intend on getting a trans service done on it next friday to see if it clears up the light and Im crossing my fingers. I've seem comments that say of you fluid is dirty it can throw those codes. Anyway love the truck otherwise.

Thanks! Ill rescan this evening if possible and post them up.

I use a scanner at my friends shop. I think its made by MAC tools. That is how I got the codes the first time but didnt write them down.

welcome

So, I finally got to rescan this evening and I pulled a p0732 and a p0735. So from all the research Ive done its possibly broken or out of adjusted band, servo issues, or valve body gasket issues. All not good things but better than the whole trans.
