Hey guys I am soooooo glad ya'll are here. Have never really worked on a 4x4 before and last night this site saved my arse. Ok now for a few questions if I may. First off, reading through the forums I see that most people BASH Auto locking hubs. ( I have a 1991 Explorer Sport 4x4 2 door ) I had to replace both calipers and rotors on each side. Are you supposed to grease the hub? Second off, while I was putting everything back together something fell apart. I believe this is called the cam assembly, or inner hub assembly. Its the large thing that goes on after you put the locknut and key on. It has 2 retainer springs and one of the springs broke. I need to find another one and nobody around here knows what I am talking about. Please can I have some input so I can put my mind at ease, and so I can fix the problem. I am terrified to drive without replacing that part ( the plastic on the back of that help hold the springs on is cracked as well) I am going to buy some manual hubs soon but need to fix this for the time being. Thank you for your time.
