new aviator

sweet truck. throw some KMC THUNDER 22s on it and hook up the charger and i'll trade you mine and my left arm for it. I can't wait until i'm done with the next 6 years of school (rest of college and med school) and then residency and then paying off my debts from school, so i can buy stuff like that. I love that truck!

To be honest it is exhorbantly too expensive for what you get. A few more options inside that are not available on explorers and a 300 Hp engine for about 20K more than a limited X. But she does ride nice.

They are very nice, and also expensive, but no where near $20K more than a Limited X (still about $10K more though).

BTW, congrats on your new truck!

Okay, I got another interior question. Are the A/C controls and stereo combined? Or is something hidden behind the panel that has "LINCOLN" printed on it? Did they combine everything into a single digital display?

Once again, just wondering.............

Robb

The stereo controls are behind the "LINCOLN" panel. It lifts up to reveal the controls for the stereo. Kinda cool IMO.

Only issue is with Ford quality I'd be afraid that'd break LOL.

That has been a concern here too--Navigator has the same thing, and it could become more of a Lincoln-line styling cue.

And the Aviators fully loaded can be around $52k.

If you get every option, presently available, in the AWD Premium, it hits $50 and change (from the dealer order guide anyway--maybe the dealers are adding something to it).

 I know what my next SUV purchace will be; The Aviator!!! Man, that is one sweet looking truck. I think I am in love. LOL It's a baby Navi, too bad it does not have a baby price. :(

On the upside Ford products depreciate like mad, in 2 years you can probably get a lease return for about half the cost of a new one.

Welcome to the board, and congrats on your new purchase. I've always been intriqued by the Aviator --ever since hearing about it. I was finally able to read Car and Driver's article. They had nothing but good things to say about the Aviator. That's a sweet motor in it. Too bad the truck weighs in at over 5K lbs....
