My battery died on my explorer and I went to install the new battery and once I connected the terminals the horn and lights start going off. My remote is broken to disable the alarm. Does anyone know how to bypass this situation preferably without buying a new remote. Thanks

It sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm system installed - there should be a small button installed somewhere (usually somewhere near the driver's footwell). Pressing this button will reset the alarm system and allow you to start the car.

Hook the battery back up and see if you can put the key in the ignition and turn the key to get it to stop.

i have the same problem, there is no switch under my dash and the key doesnt work
