Just a heads up !
I Just replaced EVERYTHING in front and rear except rear cyls. Even flushed the system.
Road test was good. But; The more it was driven, a scraping sound seemed to increase in the front. Took a close look and listen at everything - didn't see anything wrong. Scraping seemed loudest at the end of braking, and continued a bit after braking. After about 100 miles it quieted down.
I was surprised how much noise was transferred by the new parts prior to break in. It sounded very scary. I did think that the new rotors appeared to have a rougher machined surface then when you would have them cut but that is all I can atribute to it.
I was not impressed with Doorman (Chinese) calipers. The hose seals were too big. One was spewing fluid all over as I was bleeding the other side. New seals from Ford were a LOT smaller. I questioned the parts guy and he said they are all the same for every year. They solved the problem. It also appeared that the bleed plugs weeped fluid for a few days after the job.
