2000 EB
Howdy. New to these forums but not new to Explorers. My current 2000 EB is my second EB I've owned. My first was a '90 EB that I really enjoyed. I was really in to it back then but now my Exp is not much for recreation. Not sure why but my 2000 just doesn't move me like the '90 did. That could have something to do with the fact that my current Exp doesn't have 4-wheel drive (a small oversight when I purchased the EB online). Anyway, I've got a strange issue so I'm gonna go post.

Welcome to the site! I'll tell you now before someone else does, search before you post. Lot's of info has been discussed on this site. Lot's of member's here with the same problems and concerns over and over. You'll more than likely find what you are looking for and if not, post away. :)

I'm definitely a searcher. I completely relate to what it is like being an experienced forum'er and seeing the same questions over and over. Thanks for the advice just the same though.

Most people are, but.....You never know!

90 explorer? not quite.... close tho lol as brooklyn said the explorer started in 91. So tell us about your EB. 4.0 or 5.0? any plans on modding it?

Oops. Correction: that was a '91. I was the second owner. I lived in NM at the time and really enjoyed off-roading. Always jumped on the opportunity to use the 4-wheel drive. Sure miss that in this 2k tho. I couldn't get this one up my driveway yesterday after more than 10" of snow dropped (and the DOT plowed street snow in front of the up-hill driveway). In case you're asking why I didn't buy a 4x4: (To make a long story short) It was a long-distance purchase, my parents test-drove it for me, 4-wheel drive wasn't a top priority at the time (I lived where there wasn't much snow, etc.), and I was thinking 4x4 was standard on EBs. Oh well - lesson learned. Although I think this 2k EB is a little too cushy, I'm not planning on any mods. I am in the market for new shocks though. Nothing special, just good replacements. I'm finding some good info on the forum. Thanks for all the "welcomes" and your contributions throughout the forums.
